«1951: Down 21-7 at halftime, Nebraska erupts for four touchdowns in the third quarter for a 34-27 upset win at Iowa State. Nebraska's John Bordogna, operating in a spread formation, threw for 234 yards and three TDs. The Husker defense intercepted six passes. | OWH | LJS | Stats | Photos

1966: Harry Wilson rushes for 104 yards as NU beats Oklahoma State, 21-6, to clinch the Big Eight title.
 
1971: Johnny Rodgers scores two touchdowns, including a 62-yard punt return, and the Blackshirts give up just 106 yards in a 37-0 romp over Iowa State.

«1976: Nebraska goes to the air to win a defensive battle with Oklahoma State, 14-10. Vince Ferragamo threw for both Husker touchdowns, and linebacker Clete Pillen had 30 tackles, 14 of them unassisted. Also, Husker legend Tom Novak suffers paralysis in a fall at his brother's home.
 
1981: Nebraska gashes Oklahoma State, No. 2 nationally in total defense, for 546 yards in a 54-7 romp in Stillwater. Mike Rozier and Roger Craig each topped 100 yards rushing, and Rozier scored on a 93-yard kickoff return.
 
1986: After trailing Iowa State by a touchdown at halftime, the Huskers dominate the second half for a 35-14 win. Ken Kaelin and Tyreese Knox each rushed for 126 yards, and Robb Schnitzler scored on a 70-yard punt return.
 
1991: Nebraska erases a 17-0 deficit at Kansas as I-back Calvin Jones comes off the bench to rush for a school-record 294 yards in a 59-23 victory in Lawrence.
 
1996: Strong outings on defense and special teams lead to a 51-7 rout of Missouri. Also, former Husker Mike Rozier is injured in a shooting in Camden, N.J., and he later says he’s lucky to be alive.
 
2001: Willie Amos' 20-yard interception return and DeJuan Groce's 60-yard punt return help boost the Huskers to a 31-21 win over Kansas State. Also, it's announced that Jim Rose will replace Warren Swain as Nebraska football's radio play-by-play man.
 
2006: Zac Taylor's 9-yard pass to Maurice Purify with 21 seconds left gives Nebraska an amazing 28-27 victory at Texas A&M and the Big 12 North championship.
 
2011: After an emotional week in which Penn State was rocked by the Jerry Sandusky scandal, Nebraska ekes out a 17-14 win over the Nittany Lions.
 
2016: Kieron Williams' interception inside the 5-yard-line seals a 24-17 home victory over Minnesota after Tommy Armstrong Jr. rallied the Huskers from a 17-10 halftime deficit.
