1968: A media poll pegs NU for second place in the Big Eight behind Oklahoma.
2003: Bonuses awarded to Husker coaches after a 7-7 season draw ridicule from some quarters.
2008: Quarterback Cody Green becomes the first high-profile recruit to commit to Nebraska's recruiting class of 2009. Also, an internet hoax targeting Oklahoma quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Landry Jones lands a Nebraska fan in hot water.
2013: Spencer Long and Jeremiah Sirles make the watch list for the Outland trophy.
2018: Phil Steele sees the 2018 Huskers improving by three or four wins over Nebraska's 4-8 showing in 2017.
