Huskers cruise in road victory over Hoosiers

Nebraska gained its first win of 1976 with a 45-13 rout of Indiana before 41,289 fans.

The Huskers jumped out 14-0 in the first quarter, had a 24-0 halftime lead, and went into the final quarter on top 38-7.

Nebraska totally dominated the contest as Monte Anthony rushed for 83 yards and Rick Berns added 79 yards. Vince Ferragamo hit 8 of 12 passes for 115 yards.

Indiana’s main weapon was the pass, but the Hoosiers never threatened.

Jim Wightman led the Blackshirts with 11 tackles.
