Did you see Kevin Greene throw around Kevin Steele during the Carolina game Sunday? I hear that McBride is going to retire and that Gary Gibbs will replace him. But Steele could easily end up getting fired along with the whole Carolina staff. That and the Greene deal might make Steele rethink the pros, and he would be a great defensive coordinator and recruiter.

Too bad about Joe Walker -- we never get any good news. Newcombe ought to just have his surgery and get it over with. I have a bad feeling about this Arizona game and I just can't shake it. I hope I'm wrong and that they somehow come out looking like just another soft Pac-10 team.
