Official recap
All-America I-back Mike Rozier became Nebraska career rushing leader as he pounded Wyoming for 191 yards and four touchdowns on just 19 carries as he led the Huskers to a 56-20 win over the Cowboys. Rozier broke I.M. Hipp's four-year-old record of 2,814 yards with a 12-yard touchdown run midway in the second period. Quarterback Turner Gill also broke a Nebraska record as his 13 pass attempts without an interception upped his two-year string to 99, breaking Jerry Tagge's 14-year-old mark of 88. Despite the one-sided loss, Wyoming outscored the Huskers in the second half, 17-14, and controlled the ball for more than 37 minutes of the contest.
