After losing five of eight October matches in rugged Big Ten play, Nebraska rebounded and rode a 13-match winning streak into the national championship match against Stanford in Minneapolis. The Huskers and Cardinal battled for five sets before Stanford prevailed, ending Nebraska's bid for a second consecutive naional title. Mikaela Foecke and Lauren Stivrins earned first-team All-America honors, while Kenzie Maloney was a third-teamer.
