Huskers Hold on for 36-28 Win: Tommy Armstrong, Drew Brown, Andy Janovich, Brandon Reilly and Jordan Westerkamp all produced career days to lead Nebraska to a 36-28 victory over Southern Miss.
Nebraska amassed 610 yards of total offense, including 242 on the ground, but several drives sputtered in the red zone. That kept Southern Miss within striking distance, and the Golden Eagles mounted a comback that wasn’t snuffed until Freedom Akinmoladun's quarterback sack near midfield on the game's final play.
