Despite the score, it was a "hotly contested game" and "the university boys put up a good game," the Nebraska State Journal reported. "The Nebraska team was unable to withstand the superior rushing, brilliant end runs and excellent bunting [punting?] of the Denver team."
The Nebraska players stayed at the Brown Palace hotel in Denver and attended an opera performance at the Tabor Grand.
