  • Nebraska finished the season with a 5-6 overall record and a 3-5 record in the Big 12 Conference. Today’s loss ended Nebraska’s streak of 42 consecutive winning regular seasons and Nebraska’s NCAA-record streak of 35 consecutive bowl appearances.
  • Today’s victory by Colorado marks the third consecutive season the road team has won in the Nebraska-Colorado series, and is just the eighth victory all-time by Colorado in Lincoln. Colorado’s six-point win today marked the 10th time in the last 17 meetings (since 1988) that the game was decided by six points or less.
  • Nebraska permanently retired the number 64 in honor of Bob Brown at halftime of today’s game. The number becomes only the second uniform number permanently retired in school history, joining the #60 worn by Tom Novak. Brown was an All-American guard at Nebraska in 1963 and is one of only two Nebraska players who have been inducted into both the college and pro football halls of fame.
  • Sophomore quarterback Joe Dailey established a pair of school records in today’s game, breaking school single-game marks for completions (29) and attempts (55) against the Buffaloes. His 29 completions shattered the school mark of 25 by David Humm against Wisconsin on Sept. 29, 1973, while his 55 attempts broke the previous record of 42, set on three previous occasions, including twice earlier this season by Dailey (Southern Miss, at Iowa State). In addition, his 306 yards passing was the second-highest, single-game passing total in school history, trailing only his 342-yard performance against Baylor on Oct. 16. Dailey is the only Husker quarterback to ever throw for 300 yards in a game.
  • Dailey passed for 306 yards in today’s game, pushing his season total to 2,025 yards, the third-highest single-season total in school history. He passed Jerry Tagge, who had 2,019 yards in 1971, as Dailey’s season total is the highest by a Husker quarterback since Vince Ferragamo in 1976. He finished the season with 17 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, the most in a season in school history.
  • Dailey’s 153 completions this season set a single-season record, bettering the previous record of 145 by Vince Ferragamo in 1976, while his 310 pass attempts this season also set a new Husker school record, eclipsing the previous record of 266 pass attempts by Dave Humm in 1972.
  • Nebraska junior I-back Cory Ross rushed for 35 yards in today’s game. The 35 yards rushing by Ross pushed his season total to 1,102 yards, the 18th-most productive rushing season in school history, and the seventh-best rushing total by a Nebraska junior. Ross finished the season with six 100-yard rushing games.
  • Senior linebacker Barrett Ruud made nine tackles in today’s game, giving him 143 tackles on the 2004 season and 432 tackles in his Nebraska career. Ruud’s 432 career tackles are the second-most in Big 12 history, trailing only the 500 total tackles by Texas Tech’s Lawrence Flugence. Ruud’s 143 tackles this season are the second-most in school history, trailing only his total of 149 tackles last season.
  • Ruud made one tackles for loss in today’s game, giving him 18 tackles for loss this season, good for seventh place (also with Jimmy Williams, 1980 and Willie Harper, 1972) on the Nebraska single-season tackles list. Ruud has 50 career tackles for loss, second on the Nebraska career list, trailing only 1997 Lombardi Award winner Grant Wistrom.
  • Nebraska junior free safety Josh Bullocks made a career-high 12 tackles in today’s game, surpassing his previous high of nine tackles against Ole Miss in the 2002 Independence Bowl and at Oklahoma two weeks ago. His eight solo stops were also a career best.
  • Freshman wide receiver Terrence Nunn had five receptions for 69 yards in today’s game, giving him 16 catches for 218 yards in his rookie season. Nunn’s 69 yards in today’s game were a career high, topping the 55 yards he had against Kansas State and Iowa State. His 16 receptions this season broke the Nebraska freshman receptions record, previously held by Isaiah Fluellen who caught 15 passes last season.
  • Senior wide receiver Willie Amos had a career-high three receptions for 40 yards in today’s game, marking his first receptions since catching two touchdown passes in the season opener against Western Illinois.
  • Nebraska’s fourth quarter touchdown from Joe Dailey to Steve Kriewald marked the Huskers’ eighth one-play scoring drive this season. Kriewald’s touchdown catch was his third of the season, and is one shy of the single-school record for touchdown receptions by a running back(Dick Hutton, 1948; Kent McCloughan, 1964).
