Nebraska Coach Connie Yori On guarding the Wolverines' Cyesha Goree

"I love her game. She is one of my favorite players in the Big Ten, so we have a lot of respect for her. Our focus was to make it hard for her to catch it. Emily (Cady) and Allie (Havers) guarded a lot. We did what we could to make it hard for her to get catches by helping where we could. She didn't get as many touches as she does in a lot of games, so I thought that's where you start."

On team defense

"We have different ways we can help on the post before it goes in. We do some sagging. Our defense is not pressure other than pressure shooters and we help where we can help. Rachel (Theriot) and Hailie (Sample) helped before it went in, and we did a good job of playing smart basketball and not letting the ball get inside. We did a good job of playing 50/50 at times and doubling at times."

On the impact of the Nebraska bench players

"You can see Natalie (Romeo) and Chandler (Smith) getting more comfortable playing with those guys. It's really great seeing that they are able to contribute and give us something. I think they will continue to grow in their minutes as they get more comfortable out on the floor and playing at this level. It would be great to be deeper than eight, but at least we are now eight deep, which is obviously a lot better than we were at the start of the Big Ten season."

On Michigan's press

"We figured that they would probably try and take Rachel (Theriot) away in their presses, which is what they did. Rachel is able to see over defense, which is what happens when you have a big guard. The front of their press is not real big and that helps. Mostly we just allowed other people to handle the ball so it wouldn't wear Rachel out."

On another big day from Hailie Sample

"She has figured out ways to score. She has become really good at moving without the ball. She isn't necessarily going to space the floor, but she is a good cutter and does a good job of moving without the ball. She is a good enough passer that she can make plays for others, too. That is why she is shooting such a high percentage, because a majority of her shots are close to the basket."
