On her thoughts as she passed it to Natalie Romeo with three seconds on the shot clock "I was just trying to score and then her player came over and helped so she was wide open. I wasn't really thinking about the clock. She was open, so I'm going to pass it to her. I trust her. She's a really good shooter, so I thought her shot would go in, but I was crashing the boards just in case."

On if Illinois was playing well or if Nebraska was playing poorly early in the game "We were both battling and we both wanted it really bad. We came up with more rebounds and more of the 50/50 balls, so that is what put us over. We were plus 14 on the boards which gave us extra possessions and shots and we took advantage of that."

On being plus-14 (in boards) over Illinois "It means that we're boxing out and we're doing what we're supposed to be doing and pursuing the ball and hustling down loose boards."

On if there is a difference when Allie (Havers) came in and made shots "Allie coming in and hitting a couple big shots and making a couple defensive plays gives me and Emily (Cady) some breathers. She's a really good player, so they have to respect her and switch up their game plan when she's in there."

On a tough matchup with the Illini's Chatrice White "She's a really good player. She has an outside game and an inside game. She utilizes her size really well and this was a coming home game for her, so she was really excited."

On if it was important when Chatrice White fouled out "Anytime that a really good player fouls out before the game is over is a good thing for us. It was good that they couldn't go to her in that late-game situation."

Natalie Romeo

On if there were any nerves taking the shot "To be completely honest, I don't really remember because I was a little excited. I just remember Hailie being there and I dropped to the corner and got the pass."

Tear'a Laudermil

On how many corner threes Natalie takes in practice "Before practice, she will be in the gym. It doesn't matter the weather, she will walk to the gym from her dorm. That right there is dedication. She deserved that shot."

On if there were any flashbacks to Iowa "I had a flashback, I thought, 'nothing deep and nothing long.' If they're running, we're running with them. We defended the play a lot better tonight."
