Hoosiers are swept in Lincoln.
 
Lincoln. — The No. 6 Nebraska volleyball team (13-1, 6-0) came out in dominant fashion Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-14, 25-13) of the Indiana Hoosiers in front of 4,091 fans at the NU Coliseum.

Hannah Werth paced the Huskers with a match-leading 13 kills on .550 hitting. Werth's mark tied her season best for the third time this year. Lara Dykstra finished with 17 digs, while Lauren Cook had 33 assists and NU totaled eight team digs. The Huskers hit .330 for the match and held Indiana to a .022 hitting percentage.

Indiana was led by Kelci Marschall's seven kills for the day. Caitlin Cox tabbed 11 digs for the Hoosiers.

Nebraska went up 4-1 early in the first set on an attack error by the Hoosiers. The Huskers stretched their lead to 12-8 and forced Indiana to call a timeout at 18-12, NU. A kill by Delano put Nebraska up 22-15, as Nebraska eventually went on to take the first set 25-19 and lead the match 1-0.

Morgan Broekhuis and Werth both had four kills for Nebraska in the first set with 10 and six attacks, respectively. Cook notched 10 assists, while NU had nine team digs and four blocks. The Huskers held Indiana to a .031 hitting percentage in the first set.

The Huskers came out in dominant form in the second set, jumping ahead 13-4 on an attack error by Indiana. Nebraska went on to a 20-9 lead with a kill by Broekhuis. NU only allowed the Hoosiers five more points in the set as the Huskers went on to win the second set 25-14, leading the match 2-0.

Gina Mancuso had seven kills for Nebraska in the second set with Werth notching five of her own. Cook had 13 assists for NU, while the Huskers out-dug Indiana 18-15. Nebraska hit .385 for the set, while the Hoosiers only hit .062.

In the third set Nebraska took an 8-3 lead over Indiana with a kill by Broekhuis, forcing the Hoosiers to call a timeout. Three errors by Indiana put Nebraska up 11-3. The Huskers stretched their lead to 23-10 on an error by Indiana, as NU went on to win the third set 25-13 and sweep the Hoosiers 3-0.

Werth and Jordan Wilberger both had four kills for the Huskers in set three, with Brooke Delano tallying three. Cook tabbed 10 assists as the Huskers had a total of 13 team digs for the set. Nebraska hit .406 in the third set and held Indiana to a -.034 hitting percentage.

Nebraska returns to action next weekend as the Huskers face Wisconsin on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. in Madison, Wis. NU then heads to Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday, Oct. 15 to take on Minnesota at 7 p.m. The Huskers' match with Minnesota will air via tape delay on BTN on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.
