Veteran and Military Appreciation Game

Saturday’s game against Northwestern will be Nebraska’s annual Veteran and Military Appreciation Game.

• A 12-member Gate Sentinel group will be honored with approximately 21 minutes on the pregame countdown clock

• Approximately 150 active military members and veterans will be sitting on the East apron behind the Nebraska bench

• During its pregame performance, the Cornhusker Marching Band will play the Armed Forces Medley

• During the National Anthem, names of all individuals with Nebraska ties who have lost their lives serving the United States since 9/11 will be scrolled on the HuskerVision screen

• The U.S. Marines will collect for Toys for Tots outside of Memorial Stadium during pregame and halftime. Fans may donate new, unwrapped toys or cash that will be used to purchase toys.
