Preseason practice No. 17

Categories: 2018 Football

Nebraska football offensive coordinator Troy Walters and other assistants and players provided updates on the progress of the Husker offense after Wednesday morning’s practice.

Walters said the offense wasn’t up to standard Wednesday and that no decision has been made on who will start quarterback in the season opener. A situational scrimmage Thursday may help clarify the situation. He said the running back position would be “by committee,” with several players sharing duties.

Also, it was announced that offensive lineman Jalin Barnett has retired from football because of concussions.
