PASADENA, Calif. — In this land where nothing short of colossal is accepted, two football teams — Stanford and Nebraska — put on as great a football show as this big concrete dish in the Secco Arroyo has seen.
Stanford won the game, 21 to 13, but not until it had displayed some of the fastest backs and the most vicious open field blocking any game has seen.
