MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK: Who will be the top receiver on the 2019 Huskers – JD Spielman or Jack Stoll?
JD Spielman had over 800 yards receiving in 2018, even though he missed two games. The speedy Spielman was third-team All-Big Ten last year and is expected to be a big part of the Husker offense in 2019.
At 6’4″, 260 pounds with good speed, Jack Stoll has the potential to be the same type of zone-busting tight end that Frost relied upon – Jordan Atkins, now in the NFL – in the explosive offense of his unbeaten 2017 UCF team.
Both players look to be big parts of a more high-powered Husker offense in 2019. With second-year quarterback Adrian Martinez expecting to air it out more this year, one of these players should end up being his top target.
