Monday Morning Quarterback: Which is the bigger game this year for the Husker football team – Wisconsin or Iowa?

No doubt the Ohio State game on September 28 in Lincoln will be a huge game for the Huskers this season. Ohio State is coming into 2019 with a new coach after their 2012-2018 run with Urban Meyer.

In the West, though, two of the biggest games shaping up for the Huskers are Wisconsin and Iowa, both home at Lincoln, on November 16 and November 29. Both Wisconsin and Iowa have received preseason nods to win the Big Ten West from various sports outlets.

Wisconsin fell off a bit last year, although still ended at 8-5, and is returning all four top receivers along with Jonathan Taylor at running back, coming off a 2,194-yard season. Iowa likewise is returning large parts of its team, especially on offense where it averaged 31.2 points per game in 2018.
