Missouri fans wanted a penalty called on this play for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit, while Nebraska fans thought a fumble recovery by Nebraska should have been the call. Neither side got its wish, as the fourth-quarter play was ruled a sack with Missouri retaining possession and no penalty on Nebraska. Missouri coach Gary Pinkel asked for a conference review, the results of which were not made public.
