Official recap
With Nebraska leading, 20-16, midway in the third quarter, Bruce Pickens roared in on a rare cornerback blitz and blind-sided Oklahoma State quarterback Mike Gundy, forcing a fumble that turned the game around.Pickens, the Big Eight defensive player-of-the-week, recovered at the OSU 27, setting up a short drive to the first of three-straight touchdowns which allowed Nebraska to pull away. Gerry Gdowski piled up 295 yards of total offense, the most for a Nebraska player in 16 years and the school's fifth-highest total ever.
