Huskers rally from halftime deficit in Ames

Nebraska drove the length of the field after the opening kickoff to take a 7-0 lead, then found itself in a stalemate with fired-up Iowa State.

The Cyclones pulled into a 7-7 tie late in the first half, and went up 14-7 after recovering a Husker fumble on the ensuing kickoff.

A fiery halftime speech by Coach Tom Osborne brought the Huskers back to life, though, and Nebraska rallied for a 35-14 win as fullback Ken Kaelin and I-back Tyreese Knox each rushed for 126 yards.

On a day with a 12-degree wind chill, Nebraska completed just one of nine passes for minus-three yards.
