Nebraska rebounded from a fumble-plagued season opener by playing crisper ball and crushing Knox. The visitors from Galesburg, Ill., were routed from the outset and trailed by 26-0 at halftime.
Five Cornhuskers – LeRoy Temple, Louis Harte, Orlando Bentley, Louis Magor and Harvey Rathbone – scored touchdowns as Nebraska moved the ball effectively both on the ground a via the pass. Owen Frank added a pair of field goals
Buck Beltzers passing and Bentleys receiving were singled out for praise by the Omaha Bee. The forward pass was never used to better advantage by a Cornhusker team than on this occasion, the Bee said in its game report.
