Kansas 20
Nebraska 5
Nov. 14, 1908
With the Missouri Valley championship riding on the outcome, Nebraska was upset by Kansas, 20-5, at Lincoln's Antelope Park. Halfback Hugo Birkner scored Nebraska's lone touchdown in the first half, which ended with Kansas holding a 16-5 lead. The Jayhawks were held to a field goal in the second half but won "as a result of two halves of straight football in which Kansas played old time bucks in preference to the later day open formations," the Nebraska State Journal reported.
