Huskers overwhelm Tigers

Nebraska scored on the game’s first four possessions — its first two and Missouri’s first two — and cruised to its most lopsided win ever in Columbia.

After Gerry Gdowski threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Morgan Gregory, Mike Croel blocked Mizzou’s first punt for a Husker safety. Gdowski then ran 34 yards for another Nebraska score, and Travis Hill then blocked the Tigers’ second punt and Reggie Cooper recovered the ball the end zone for a 23-0 lead in the game’s first seven minutes.
