Taylor, Huskers have easy time against Aggies

One hundred four Cornhuskers saw action as Nebraska scored at least twice in each quarter and rolled to its second win of the season.

Quarterback Steve Taylor completed seven of 10 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown as he became the eighth Nebraska player to top 2,000 career passing yards. He added 74 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and passed Vince Ferragamo to move into fifth on NU’s career total offense chart.

The Huskers had 17 running plays of 10 yards or more en route to rolling up 421 yards on the ground.

Taylor and outside linebacker Broderick Thomas were named the Big Eight offensive and defensive players of the week.
