So, we started our superstitious “system.” Pick the Huskers to lose to assure a victory. One letter writer says that’s dumb. Another thinks I should trade jobs with the janitor. I checked with the janitor. He’s says, “Don’t you dare pick Nebraska to beat Missouri. I want to see the Huskers win.” So, here we go again. Missouri 28, Nebraska 24 – Don’t think this is done entirely with tongue in cheek. The game’s in Columbia and Pete Woods has the Tigers playing their best ball of the year since his return to the quarterback job after sitting out the early season with injuries. It’ll be a tough afternoon for the Huskers. Here’s hoping the “system” works one more time.
