Brandon “Blankman” Cavanaugh
Author of "Shooting Point Blank"

Brandon “Blankman” Cavanaugh was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1983, the son of Larry Cavanaugh and Beverly Cavanaugh.

Graduated from Millard North High School a year early in 2000, he will complete a 2 year program at ITT Technical Institute in Omaha in Information Technology/Computer Networking Systems. He has held a few jobs in customer service and has written for a few school newspapers. He currently holds the position of Editor for RamsNation.com and writes Husker song parodies at The Pond.

Brandon does not hold a degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but what he does possess is a love for the school and the state he has lived in for over two decades. When asked recently what he would do if he won the lottery, he would donate most of the money to the University of Nebraska as well as remain in the state he adores. He believes that the university is like the “heart” of the state and when it prospers, the state, as a whole, prospers.

Brandon was lucky enough to play football with quite a few UNL players, including current Wingback Mike McLaughlin. He also had the pleasure of playing with Eric Crouch’s brother, Kyle. He aspires to one day hold a position within the University of Nebraska so that he can get a hands-on approach to helping the school do well. It has been one of his aspirations to be able to communicate with thousands of Husker fans across the globe, hence his being thrilled about writing for HuskerPedia. He hopes to be able to have a positive effect on Huskers from all over and, in some way, he can help morale of the fan base soar.

He is not just a football fan, as he regularly gets to Nebraska basketball and baseball games as well as wrestling meets. In short, if the guys or gals participating are wearing a big red “N”, Blankman tries to get there.

Take care and God Bless,

Brandon “Blankman” Cavanaugh
