Big Red Cobcast: 200 Episodes!
Guys. We did it. 200 episodes. My mom would be very proud if she had any idea what a podcast actually is.
Pat, Joe and I look forward to this show every week. We love making it and we love talking to our fellow Husker brethren from all over the country. I mean, actually the world. People tweet at us (@bigredcobcast) or leave us voicemails ((747)-998-2976) and we love love it all. We love the trash talkers and the homers and even the people who don’t understand half of what we’re saying.
So I just wanted to start off this week by saying thank you for listening to us ramble for over 4 years now. It has been a highlight for me personally and I hope I we can make it work to do 200 more episodes.
What’s Up This Week?
Well, obviously we didn’t make the tourney and that sucks. Hard. I really like these guys, this team. I know I’ve said it before but I just feel like it’s worth repeating. Pat was gone this week but I’m sure he’s going to have a rant that goes above and beyond anything you ever heard him scream about. I’ve known Pat for 15 years and I’ve never heard him lose his cool but I think that might change when he gets back.
Joe and I had a lovely talk this week about Frost’s assistants as well as recruiting and the 500 mile radius. Which in a sense is the same conversation considering all we have really seen of the #FrostEffect is on the recruiting trail and they have all done a stellar job. Without giving too much of the discussion away, Joe and I are both very high on Coach Duvall (among others).
