After Nebraska’s fifth football practice of spring 2019, defensive coordinator Erik Chinander said he was pleased with improvements he was seeing in the Huskers’ pass rush.

Outside linebackers coach Jovan Dewitt spoke about his battle with cancer. He said he has missed just one practice and has lost more than 40 pounds. “My cure rate is supposed to be really good, in the mid-90 percentile range, so those things are good,” he said.
