1994 Nebraska-Kansas State pregame: Clester Johnson No. 3 quarterback
With Tommie Frazier out indefinitely and Brook Berringer nursing a deflated lung, wingback Clester Johnson was named the Huskers’ No. 3 quarterback for Nebraska’s game at 16th-ranked Kansas State.
Twenty-five years later, Johnson said this about it on Twitter:
When Frazier went down and Berringer got injured it came down to Matt Turman and.... 👀😳 😳 my thoughts: PLEASE BROOK GET BETTER!!! Actually at that point we didn’t need a QB! #throwback pic.twitter.com/NDgrlid4cd
