Behind a season-high seven team aces, the No. 3 Nebraska volleyball team swept the Wisconsin Badgers 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-20) Friday night in front of 4,112 fans at the NU Coliseum.

Morgan Broekhuis led the Husker offense on the night with 12 kills and a .370 hitting percentage. Hayley Thramer and Hannah Werth each had 11 kills for a .500 and .364 hitting percentage, respectively. Thramer also recorded six blocks, while Werth had a team-high eight digs. Gina Mancuso tabbed eight kills and a .583 hitting percentage, also recording a season-high three service aces. Lauren Cook notched 37 assists and two aces, while Lara Dykstra had seven digs and two aces of her own.

The Huskers hit .396 in the match, holding Wisconsin to a .182 hitting percentage. NU posted eight team blocks, while the Badgers had four.

Nebraska came out to a 7-3 lead on a kill by Broekhuis, but the Badgers notched a four-point run to tie the set at 7-7. The two teams were knotted up at 11-11, until a solo block by Thramer made it 13-11, NU. The Huskers took a 15-14 lead on a kill by Werth, but the Badgers kept it close as Nebraska took an 18-17 and called a timeout. Nebraska went up 22-19 on an ace by Mancuso, and went on to edge Wisconsin 25-22 in the first set.

Broekhuis led the Huskers in the first set with six kills, while Thramer and Werth both posted three kills each. Cook led the Husker offense with 14 assists, guiding NU to a .308 hitting percentage in the set.

The Huskers return to the Coliseum on Sunday at 2 p.m. as the Minnesota Gophers come to town.

Mancuso's serving propelled the Huskers early in the second set as she recorded two aces and guiding NU to a 9-1 lead on a kill by Thramer. A solo block by Mancuso made it 14-5, Huskers, while an ace from Cook put NU up 16-6. The Huskers took a 20-12 lead, but used a timeout as Wisconsin was inching back. Two kills from Mancuso and a solo block from Thramer sealed the second-set 25-15 victory for NU, putting the Huskers up 2-0 in the match.

Thramer notched five kills in the second set, while Broekhuis had four of her own and Werth tabbed three. Cook tallied 11 assists, while the Huskers posted a .556 team hitting percentage. NU posted four team blocks to Wisconsin's one as the Badgers recorded a .190 hitting percentage in the set.

The Husker serving kept the Badgers on their toes early in the third set as Mancuso posted another ace and Dykstra notched back-to-back aces to put NU up 8-2. Wisconsin went on a 4-0 run, cutting the Nebraska lead to 10-8, before Werth ended the run with a Husker kill. Nebraska went up 18-15 on an error by the Badgers, while Allison McNeal and Thramer teamed up for a block to make it 22-17, Huskers. Nebraska went on to win the third set 25-20, completing the sweep over Wisconsin.

Werth led NU in the third set with five kills on five attacks. Mancuso had four kills, while Thramer notched three. Cook led the offense with 12 assists, while the Huskers hit .367 for the match. Nebraska out-blocked UW 2-0, as the Badgers notched a .194 hitting percentage.
