Two Huskers notched double-doubles on the day, as Lauren Cook paced the Husker offense with 48 assists and tallied 16 digs. Gina Mancuso posted 12 kills and also notched 16 digs. Morgan Broekhuis led Nebraska offensively with 16 kills on 38 swings for a .395 hitting percentage. Hayley Thramer notched 12 kills on 20 swings for a .450 hitting percentage. Hannah Werth also recorded 16 digs for NU, while Lara Dykstra had 15.

Broekhuis led the Nebraska block with a season-high eight total blocks. Thramer notched seven blocks, while Mancuso had four. Nebraska's 16 team blocks were the most since the team totaled 18 against Michigan on Nov. 4, 2011.

Nebraska hit .291 in the match, while Michigan was held to a .162 hitting percentage. The Wolverines notched 12 team blocks, but were out-dug 72-65 by the Huskers.

Michigan came out to a 4-0 lead to open the match. The Wolverines stretched their lead to 10-4 before Meghan Haggerty notched a kill for the Huskers. A kill by Mancuso made it 11-6, Michigan, before a kill by Thramer and a solo block from Broekhuis made it 14-10, Wolverines. Nebraska would use a double-stuff block by Broekhuis and Thramer and a kill from Mancuso to make it 22-17, Michigan, before forcing U-M to call a timeout. The Nebraska rally continued as the Huskers posted three-straight points, punctuated on a block by Werth to cut Michigan's lead to 23-21. The Wolverines would go on to close out the Huskers, taking the first set 25-21.

Thramer led Nebraska in the first set with four kills, while Mancuso and Werth both tabbed three kills. Cook paced the Huskers with 12 assists, while Nebraska totaled six team blocks. The Huskers hit just .133 in the set.

Nebraska jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second set, following a kill by Broekhuis. A double-stuff block by Broekhuis and Haggerty made it 8-3, Huskers, before a 3-0 run made it 12-5, Nebraska. A kill by Mancuso put NU up 16-8, as the Huskers went on to open up the set at 22-10. Nebraska then closed out Michigan 25-13, taking the second and tying the match at one set apiece.

Broekhuis posted six kills for the Huskers in the set, while Mancuso had five of her own. Cook tabbed 15 assists for Nebraska, guiding NU to a .548 hitting percentage. Nebraska tabbed four team blocks to Michigan's one block. The Huskers held Michigan to a .067 hitting percentage.

Cook kicked off the third set with a service ace for the Huskers, while Nebraska went up 6-3 on a kill by Thramer. Another ace by Cook made it 13-7, Nebraska, while Broekhuis notched back-to-back kills as NU took a 15-8 lead. Michigan went on a 4-0 run to make it 20-14, Huskers, as NU would go on to win the third set 25-17.

Both Broekhuis and Thramer had four kills in the third set, while Cook notched 10 assists. Nebraska hit .353, as Michigan hit .189.

The Huskers went up 6-2 in the fourth set following a kill by Thramer. Just when the Wolverines cut it as close as 9-8, Haggerty came through with a kill to give Nebraska a two-point lead. Michigan would not back down, but Mancuso notched back-to-back aces to give Nebraska a 15-10 advantage. The Wolverines cut the Husker lead to 20-19, before Nebraska had to use a timeout. Michigan again came within two at 22-20, but a kill by Thramer followed by a kill from Broekhuis clinched the fourth-set 25-21 win and 3-1 match win for the Huskers.

Broekhuis and Thramer both tallied four kills in the fourth set. Cook notched 11 assists, while the Huskers hit .220 as a team. Michigan notched a .178 hitting percentage in the fourth set.
