A.J. Hammons led Purdue with 32 points on 14-of-17 shooting while adding 11 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots, as the Boilermakers shot 59 percent en route to improving to 19-4 on the season and 7-3 in the Big Ten.
Raphael Davis added 17 points, inclding 4-of-5 from 3-point range, while Isaac Haas added 13 point off the bench, as the two Purdue centers combined for 45 of Purdue's 89 points.
White led NU with 18 points and a team-high six rebounds, while Tai Webster added 17 points and three steals. Shavon Shields finished with 16 points, including 13 in the second half, while Glynn Watson Jr. added 11 points for Nebraska (12-10, 4-5 Big Ten).
In the first half, Purdue's inside game and foul trouble were too much to overcome, as the Boilermakers took a 44-35 lead into the locker room. The Boilermakers shot 51 percent in the first half, as Hammons and Isaac Haas combined for 30 of Purdue's 44 first-half points.
Hammons made his presence known in the opening minutes, scoring 10 of Purdue's first 12 points as the Boilermakers jumped out to an early 12-5 lead. The Huskers, who shot 43 percent in the half, got back into the game on the shooting of Andrew White III, who had 11 first-half points. The junior scored five points as part of a 7-0 run to pull even at 12 after a White 3-pointer.
Nebraska got a solid spark from Parker in the first half, scoring seven early points, including a 3-pointer which gave NU a 19-17 lead with 12:38 left in the half.
Nebraska was within striking distance until the final minute of the half when Purdue scored the last five points, extending a 39-35 after a Webster free throw lead with 1:20 left in the half to nine points after Ryan Cline 3-pointer and a put-back dunk by Hammons at the buzzer.
Hammons continued his strong play early in the second half, scoring 10 points as Purdue built a 15-point lead before the Huskers regrouped behind some defensive pressure. Trailing 58-43, Webster 3-point play got the Huskers going, as NU ran off eight straight points, capped by a Watson 3-pointer, to pull within 58-51 with 12:52 left and force a Purdue timeout. NU
Nebraska continued to apply pressure, getting to within 61-55 after a Watson layup after a Shields steal and stayed was in striking distance at 71-65 after a White 3-pointer with 7:23 left, but Purdue answered back. A 3-pointer from Davis started a 9-0 Boilermaker run that pushed the margin to 80-65 and ended NU's hopes for a fourth straight road win.
