Nebraska shot a blistering 59 percent in the first half in building a 37-point halftime lead and cruising to an easy victory. The Huskers had five players finish in double figures and three others who finished with at least eight points as no player played more than 22 minutes.
Glynn Watson Jr. led Nebraska with 14 points, while Tai Webster added 13 points and a career-high six rebounds. Ed Morrow Jr. and Michael Jacobson added 11 points each while Benny Parker rounded out the group with 10 points. All 14 players who dressed played while 11 broke into the scoring column as Nebraska subbed liberally throughout the second half.
Shavon Shields and Webster helped the Huskers race out to a quick start, scoring the first nine points before Parker's 3-pointer gave the Huskers a 12-0 lead just 4:07 into the contest. Webster keyed the Huskers' first-half outburst with 11 points and five rebounds in the first half, as Nebraska built a 30-point lead in the first 15 minutes of the contest.
Nebraska's 53 first-half points were the most by a Husker team in the first half in more than 15 years while the Huskers held Southeastern Louisiana to 25 percent shooting in the first half.
Dimi Cook's 16 points led three Lions in double figures.
The Huskers conclude their three-game homestand Tuesday night against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be carried on the Husker Sports Network and will be streamed online on BTN Plus.
