Steve Taylor
Official recap
Visions of Seminole upsets past danced in the minds of Nebraska fans when Sammie Smith raced 57 yards to give Florida State a 14-10 lead with 33 seconds left in the first half. But a third upset in four Memorial Stadium visits was not in the cards for FSU as the Huskers outscored the Seminoles, 24-3, in the second half, with the NU defense holding the visitors to minus-two yards after halftime.

Nebraska posted a 34-17 win in the first-ever Memorial Stadium night game.
