Two long I.M. Hipp touchdown runs were the difference in Nebraska's 26-9 win over Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan.
With Nebraska trailing 3-0, Hipp roared around the end for 66 yards and a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. In the third quarter, Hipp ran 82 yards to put Nebraska farther ahead 17-3. Things were not settled until Kenny Brown scored on a 27-yard reverse with 21 seconds left in the game.
Nebraska's defense kept K-State's potent passing attack bottled up, allowing only 96 yards passing and intercepting three Wildcat passes.
