Kent McCloughan's 69-yard swing around left end for a first-quarter touchdown, set the pace as the Nebraska Cornhuskers gained their second Big 8 win of the year with a 47-0 rout of the Kansas State Wildcats.

A Homecoming crowd of 46,056 saw the unbeaten Huskers lead 27-0 at halftime, then turn the game over to the reserves during the second half. Nebraska had a 5-0 record for the year, a spot in the Top 10, and 12 straight wins to their credit.
