LINCOLN, Neb., Niv, 28 -(AP)- A sensational comeback drive which carried the Cornhuskers sixty-five yards to a touchdown in the last two minutes of play gave Nebraska a 26-to-20 victory over Oregon State in an intersectional football game here today before 25,000 persons.

Nebraska scored a touchdown in the first four minutes of play, and counted again nine minutes later on a blocked punt to start what appeared would be a walkaway, but Oregon State came back and went into the lead early in the fourth quarter.

Thirteen line plays, with Lloyd Cardwell, Nebraska's ace halfback, carrying the ball seven times, shot the Cornhuskers back in front and they protected their advantage until the timer ended the wild scramble.

Two for Cardwell.

Cardwell scored two of Nebraska's four touchdowns, and Ralph Eldridge and Elmer Dohrmann accounted for the others. Sam Francis kicked two extra points on four tries for Nebraska. Joe Gray, star Oregon State halfback, scored the Beavers' first touchdown and Elmer Kolberg and Maynard Schultz made the others. Thomas Swanson kicked Oregon State's two extra points.

Nebraska went into the final period with a 19-to-14 advantage. Oregon State had the ball on its own five-yard line. An exchange of punts gave the Beavers the ball on their thirty-three-yard stripe, and on the first play John Woerner, substitute quarterback, shot a forward pass to Schultz which was good for sixty-seven yards and a touchdown and a one-point lead.

Regulars Back In.

The touchdown was made against Nebraska reserves, and Coach D.X. Bible rushed the regulars back in a hurry. Cardwell received the kickoff and, alternating with Jerry LaNoue and Francis, marched sixty-five yards down the field without interruption for the winning score. Twice during the drive Francis made first downs with inches to spare.

Nebraska made seventeen first downs to Oregon State's twelve, and gained 253 yards from scrimmage to 119 for Oregon State. The Beavers tried sixteen passes and completed six, one for a touchdown, and the Cornhuskers completed two out of four attempts. Oregon State's passes gained 148 yards and Nebraska's thirty-six.
