Nebraska 102
Creighton 0

Oct. 28, 1905 – Vinton Street Park, Omaha

“There never was such a slaughter of long-haired foot ball bruisers seen in Omaha. ... There is such a thing as being too ‘durn’ good, and that’s what Nebraska proved to be as compared with Creighton.”

That’s how the Omaha World-Herald described Nebraska’s 102-0 romp over Creighton, a game with so much scoring that it was a challenge to keep track of all the points – the newspaper put the Cornhuskers’ total at 103.

From the Sunday State Journal: “Nebraska had no difficulty in making the distance each time she had the ball. To the onlookers it became monotonous, but the enthusiasm was maintained to the end.”

Below are the tops of the game stories that ran in the OWH, the Omaha Bee and the Daily Nebraskan. Click on the images to view the complete articles.
